Festival of Beef (September 27 - 29) $75+

Cowabunga is a series of four ticketed tasting events and chef competitions featuring beef at South Lake Union Discovery Center for age 21+

Oktoberfest in Fremont (Sep 20- 22): $20+

Fremont Oktoberfest offers 100 kinds of beer and cider plus bands for age 21+. Sunday adds an all-ages ”street scramble” scavenger hunt and free admission for dogs.

Ballard Festival (Sep 28): Free

Sustainable Ballard Festival offers music, food trucks, activities, and environmental exhibits and workshops in Ballard Commons Park.

Portland

Magic Show (Sep 14): $45+

Ivan Amodei involves the audience in his entertaining 90-minute magic show Secrets & Illusions, featuring illusions, puzzles, priceless art, music, and mind games at Newmark Theatre.

Distillery Tasting (Sep 21-22): Free

Meet the makers of locally crafted spirits and buy cocktails or bottles at Summer Spirits Fest in Ankeny Plaza. 21+

Anderson Cooper (Sep 27): $62.55+

San Francisco

Cabaret (August 28-Sep 14): $35

Cabaret takes you back in time to the decadent Kit Kat Klub of prewar Germany as colorful singers serenade you at San Francisco Playhouse.

Union Square Entertainment (August 28-Sep 29): Free

Union Square Live is a series of summer concerts and dances that include jazz, blues, folk, Latin, tango, rock, swing, and even Hawaiian.

Daytime Cruise (August 28- December 31): $23+

San Francisco Bay Cruise Adventure takes you on a scenic one-hour ride from Pier 39, under the Golden Gate Bridge, and then around Alcatraz.

San Diego

San Diego Blues Festival (Sep 7): $35+

The San Diego Blues Festival features 9 musical acts on two stages. Festival attendees will enjoy local craft beer, cocktails and wine along with specialty food trucks and arts and crafts vendors. Free entry for kids 12 and under.

San Diego Restaurant Week (Sep 22-29): $10+

The 15th Annual San Diego Restaurant Week returns Sunday, September 22 through Sunday, September 29 for a delicious dining experience! With over 180 participating restaurants offering prix-fixe menu options throughout San Diego County, you’re sure to find the perfect place to satisfy any craving.

2019 San Diego Beer Week (Nov 1-10):

A 10-day celebration, promoting more than 130 independent craft breweries in San Diego County. This year's San Diego Beer Week is brought to you by the San Diego Brewers Guild, with participation from the region's local craft breweries, allied and affiliate members. As the American craft beer movement becomes further ingrained in the mainstream marketplace, our local brewing scene will continue to play an important role in the developing conversation as well as the history of craft beer as a whole.

Chicago

Dessert Festival (Sep 14): $20+

A ticket to Dessert Fest includes dessert tastings, interactive games, entertainment, and access to some of the animal areas at Lincoln Park Zoo for all ages. Champagne, beer, and wine will be sold.

Fall Dinner Crawl (Sep 17): $35

Buy tickets for one of the routes, and then get samples from restaurants along the way during Fall Dinner Crawl in Wicker Park and Bucktown.

Beer Tasting (Sep 19): $55

A ticket to Harvest Hop Down includes unlimited seasonal beer tastings from 20 local breweries, food stations, and live music at Millennium Park Plaza.

Boston

The Who (Sep 13): $45+

The Who plays an epic set of what Pete Townshend calls “all the hits, picks, mixes, and misses” of the band’s career at Fenway Park.

Street Festival (Sep 14): Free

South Boston Street Festival features live music and dance on two stages, 100 artists and local merchants, fair food, and children’s activities on East Broadway (from I to L Street).

Free Museum Day (Sep 21): Free

Get a free ticket that allows two people to visit one of the many museums participating in Museum Day Live.

New York

SummerStage (August 1- Sept. 24): Free

Enjoy outstanding music, comedy, theater, dance, lectures, and films during SummerStage in city parks. The (mostly) free concerts are popular, so arrive early.

Cocktail Show (August 29- Dec 30): $69+

Your ticket to A Spirited History of Drinking includes 3 craft cocktails and a comic romp through the history of spirits and cocktails at New World Stages for age 21+.

Blue Man Show (August 31- Sep 30): $39+

Blue Man Group promises to rock your world with an exciting show that combines music, comedy, and special effects at Astor Place Theatre.
