Staypineapple + wear blue: run to remember
Staypineapple is once again partnering with wear blue: run to remember to support their mission to honor the service and sacrifice of the American military through active remembrance.
Their running community serves as a support network for those preparing for a deployment, living through a deployment, recovering from a deployment and healing from loss sustained during a deployment.
You can help us support this nonprofit by booking a room in November for any future date, and we will donate $1 for every room night sold.
With your help over the course of the 3 years that Staypineapple has made financial contributions, we have donated over $73,000 to this worthy cause.
“We are so grateful to once again be able to support wear blue: run to remember and their impactful mission to honor our country’s fallen service members and their families,” said Dina Belon, President at Staypineapple. “The work that wear blue: run to remember does helps countless families dealing with loss, and for years Staypineapple has had the opportunity to not only supported financially, but also by running alongside these brave individuals.”
In 2009 wear blue’s co- founder, Lisa Hallet’s husband - CPT John Hallet - was killed during an attack while deployed in Afghanistan. During that deployment, a small group of wives and battalion support staff met weekly to run, seeking to create a support network for one another. This small group became a nationwide organization that now helps thousands across the country heal from the devastating effects of the loss of a military loved one.
Today, wear blue honors all members of the military who pass away while in service and has evolved into a powerful network of currently serving, veterans, military families, Gold Star and surviving families, and community members.
