CORE MEMORIES: TWICE IS JUST AS NICE
It was the summer of 2022 that my husband and daughter, who was 8 years old at that time, took a road trip down Route 66 from Santa Monica to Chicago and back.
Arriving in Chicago, we stumbled upon Staypineapple and fell in love with it. We had the most beautiful room that overlooked the Chicago Theatre along with Millennium Park. It was the first time our daughter had a separate area to sleep in and she was thrilled.
All the little details made our trip so memorable. From the pineapple cookies and coffee to the amazing comfy bed duvets, it was the perfect boutique hotel with all the comforts of home. They also had the most incredible restaurant, Atwood, onsite.
We had hopes of going back to Chicago and were incredibly lucky to return in December 2023. Not only were we able see a Cirque du Soleil show at the Chicago Theatre for the holidays, but we were given the same exact hotel room that we had the first time we visited!
The staff was incredibly attentive and accommodating with everything we needed. I was so excited to stay at this amazing boutique hotel once again that I encouraged my sister and her family to stay there as well, driving all the way from Wisconsin to meet us.
The hotel was so centrally located that we were able to walk outdoors during December to Millennium Park, the Christkindlmarket, Macy’s, local restaurants, and of course the Chicago Theatre to catch our show. I kept joking with my family because everything was consistently listed as a short seven minute walk away.
We have so many great photos from our trip and even used the one by the tree in the lobby for our holiday card last year.
I can’t wait to have our next Staypineapple adventure!
