Pacific Northwest Ballet’s performs The Nutcracker (all month - McCaw Hall): Live orchestra, huge stage, and elaborate costumes make this classic ballet a holiday bucket list show for those in the greater Seattle area. Also, walkable from The Maxwell Hotel! $34-90
Around the World with KEXP (Dec 16th - Nectar Lounge) Seattle’s arguably best radio station is bringing the hot-hot-heat to this dance party in the “Center of the Universe”. $6-8
Woodland Park Zoo Wild Lights (Nov. 24, 2017 - Jan. 1, 2018): Holiday lights festival returns to Seattle's Woodland Park Zoo with sparkling lights. $10-12
Christmas lights at Lincoln Park Zoo (all month): Everyone loves Christmas lights. Take in over a million lights along with other traditional festivities at Lincoln Park Zoo all month long. Rumor has it Santa will be there too. Free
Holidazed and Confused (all month - Up Comedy Club): Take the Second City comedy crew and juice them up with Holiday eccentricities, and you have a show. $8-18
Christkindlmarket (through Dec 24th - Daley Plaza): Inspired by the Christkindlesmarkt in Nuremberg, Germany, which began in 1545, the Christkindlmarket Chicago brings a cherished German and European tradition with international flair and local charm to Chicago.
Billy Joel (Dec 8 - Moda Center): Ya know, Billy Joel. Sing along with the guy who actually wrote the songs! $30-150
John Mulaney - Kid Gorgeous (Dec 15 - Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall): Former SNL writer and Too Much Tuna grump is back on the road with his unique voice and hilarious stories. $25-35
Stumptown SantaCon (Dec 16th - Various bars): Been looking for an excuse to dress up as Santa and stumble bar to bar around Portland? Your moment has arrived. $10
Jay-Z (Dec 16th - Oracle Arena) Venture to Oakland and you’ll find yourself with one of modern music’s iconic figures - the husband of Beyonce - Jay-Z. $24-2,880
Bright Star - co-written By Steve Martin (Dec 4th - 17 - The Curran): A story of love and redemption set in the old South. But ya know, with a touch of Steve Martin. The Curran theater is just steps from The Alise Hotel. $47-158
