Westminster Dog Show (Feb 8-11): $60+

Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show has daytime events at Piers 92/94, with evening events including best-in-show at Madison Square Garden.

Harry Potter Live (Jan 8-May 28): $59+

Steps from Staypineapple San Francisco, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child features the grown-up version of Harry, Ron, and Hermione who must “grapple with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs” with illusions and magic at the Curran Theater for ages 10+.

Have a rollicking good time when Imaginary Beasts takes you “on a fairy tale journey through an enchanted forest filled with sweet adventures and delicious dangers” in its Winter Panto play Hansel & Gretl at Charlestown Working Theater.

Comedy Festival (Feb 21-23): $14+

Watch amateur comedy teams from different schools compete in the College Comedy Festival and Beanpot Tournament at ImprovBoston in Cambridge.


Seattle


Seattle Home Show (Feb 15-23): $3+

Seattle Home Show has exhibits about building, remodeling, decorating, and landscaping homes, at CenturyLink Field Event Center. Held in Feb. & Oct.

Frozen: The Musical (Feb 14 - Mar 1): $60+

Based on the film, but with additional new songs, special effects, and spectacular costumes, Frozen tells the story of two sisters pulled apart by a mysterious secret, and the epic adventure that brings them back together at the Paramount Theatre for age 8+.

Seattle Cake Con (Feb 16-17): $25+

Seattle Cake Con is a new event featuring Seattle’s “best and most unique dessert makers for a day of fun, food, and education” with competitions and samples at Fremont Foundry. Free for children aged 12 and younger.

Film & Music Festival (Feb 1-16): $95

Reel Music Festival screens new films and timeless classics with a music theme at Portland Art Museum. 

Portland Jazz Festival (Feb 19 - Mar 1): $25+
